Kellie Martin, an American actress and film director most well-known for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the show about family Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. She is also known for appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin's acting career began at age 7 when an aunt, the former nanny who took care her children Michael Landon, helped secure an appearance as a guest in 1982's 'Father Murphy.' After graduating from Yale University she began to become serious about acting and landed roles on the small and large screen. Martin is, in addition to being an accomplished actress and dancer, is also a skilled ballet photographer. Two-time mother, she is the national spokesperson for Lupus and has been raising awareness about the condition since her sister died at just 19.
